Use requirements for Code Certified Master Inspector - CCMI® and logo.

Code Certified Master Inspector - CCMI® is a Registered Trademark on the Principal Register.

There is no cost for a CMI® to earn and use the Code Certified Master Inspector - CCMI® professional designation (as well as either or both of the designations Code Certified Master Inspector™ and CCMI™), or the CCMI® logo... and there are never any dues associated with any of them. Use of this professional designation is another free benefit of being a CMI®. The following are the requirements to use the Code Certified Master Inspector - CCMI®, the Code Certified Master Inspector™ and the CCMI™ professional designations, or the CCMI® logo.

1. You must be an existing Certified Master Inspector (CMI)®. Here are the requirements to be a CMI®. If you are currently a CMI®, move on to requirement #2 (below). If you are not already a CMI, you will have to become a CMI® first by applying here.

2. You must complete InterNACHI's Property Maintenance and Housing Code Inspection course and pass its final exam. If you are currently an InterNACHI member, the course and exam are free. If you have already taken the course and passed the exam, you need not do it again and can move on to requirement #3 (below). If you are not an InterNACHI member, the MICB has arranged with InterNACHI for you to be able to take the course and exam at no cost. Contact [email protected] to acquire free access.

3. Once you are a CMI® and have completed the Property Maintenance and Housing Code Inspection course and passed its final exam, simply write or email the MICB and let us know that you intend to use the Code Certified Master Inspector - CCMI®, Code Certified Master Inspector™ and/or CCMI™ professional designations, and/or the CCMI® logo.
